F-tone Networks's Super High Power Amplification Terminal is specifically designed for very high power Raman/ROPA and EDFA applications for the most challenging links. It is a flexible 3RU platform which supports up to six hot-swappable pump laser diodes. The product can be configured in any of the following configurations:
- Super Power Booster - providing up to 28 dBm output power
- Super ROPA - providing up to 2 W of combined counter-propagating Raman pump power and 1480 nm pump power for remote EDF pumping
- Super Raman - providing up to 2 W of counterpropagating or co-propagating Raman pump power
The Super High Power Amplification Terminal is provided as a network managed unit including SNMP v2/v3, GUI, and hardware interfaces, allowing easy and rapid integration within existing systems. All configurations support F-tone Networks’s unique, patented, laser safety technology for Class 1M classification, and feature a standard, uniform GUI and operating procedures.
