EDFA板卡是掺铒光纤放大器板卡，光信号在光纤传输中信号会变弱，通过EDFA进行光信号的放大，实现多跨段和长距离传输。EDFA板卡可以实现对线路中的80波或96波信号进行放大，具有增益平坦、噪声低等特点。EDFA板卡分为功率放大器、线路放大器和前置放大器，是DWDM系统长距离传输的必要器件。
